Sunset Junction 2008

Sunset Junction CrowdImage by Clinton Steeds via FlickrSo I pick up Anthony L Montoya in Alta Loma,California after sleeping only 3 hours.
I had performed at Goodfellas Music Venue in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

We went down the 210 to 134 to the 101 fwy. We took the Lauren Canyon exit.
Passed through Hollywood hills while giving Anthony the tour of the John Holmes "Wonderland Murder" house, then up by the Mary Astor house where Marilyn Manson lives. That home the Beatles and the Rolling Stones made famous.

Then we went down to Sunset then East to Silverlake.
We stopped to get some tall cans of Bud light then parked by the Event.

We walked without a care in the world. I thought it was free.
We walked pass the guys at the gate with no problem.
Then these guys in a golf cart stopped and said, we dont have blue wristbands.
We need to go pay.

We went to the ticket booth.
20 bucks to get in? Damn.
We are deff. finding a way in.
We walked around half the festival with no luck.
Then I remembered I had some wristbands in the car.
2 blue wristbands I had.
We put em on and were were in.

I seen my favorite bar in Los Angeles the "4100 Bar"
We spent the rest of the night there from 3pm to 9pm.
Prices were on the Up.
2 long Island Ice teas for $30 (tip included)
Luckily we made friends with a guy in there with a Jack Daniels bottle.

We were suppose to meet up with our friends,Nick and Michelle. We were suppose to go to Lucky Strike for Michelles B-day. Sorry Michelle.

When I got in the car. I passed out.

Day of Dead at Hollywood Forever Cemetary 2007

Can real ghost be seen mostly around Halloween? Maybe
Can real ghost most like be seen at a cemetary? Most Likely.

This Festival is more personal.

We went to the Hollywood Forever Cemetary "Dia De Los Muertos Festival"
garcia family familia cesar maria torres ca quito
cesar garcia noemi hollywood forever cemetary ca
So.......we were at Michelles grandfather grave inside the cemetary. It took us about a half hour to find it. We were ready to give up. I was determined for Emilio to meet his grandfather Cesar Garcia he never met in the before life. I wanted to also find it for Michelles sister Erica and her kids. I wanted them to know where it was at so they can always say hello when they are in the area.
Ive been to Haunted picture website and they always showed pictures like this and said the blur is a ghost. What do you think?

This is the video I shot on the way there out from the Inland Empire. I actually shot this off the 10 fwy and Barranca in Covina.

The Festival has lot of booths they call "Altars." They decorate these altars as shrines. There are different themes all around the Cemetary. First prize is $3000 dollars for the best Altar. This altar won first prize last year.
Everybody comes dressed up in skeleton attire.
They also have one big stage and a few little stages with performers and vendors that sell alcohol, food, and arts/crafts.

If you are from out of town in Hollywood around Halloween night, this is a must do!

Nocturnal Festival 2008

N.ational O.range (Nos)
This year Pasqual drops the Wonderland out of "Nocturnal Wonderland"
Usually this event has been on Labor day weekend. This year it is one year later.
This is the best setup and event I have ever been to at the Orange Show.
Nocturnal had 7 stages with carnival rides and a VIP

This event I took my girlfriends Michelle. My brother and sister Emily and Derek. They took their friends Joe and Leslie.
We get to Noctural by exiting the the 10 fwy at Waterman and going around the traffic on the 215 fwy. We kick caught in the traffic for a while but end up on the West Side of the Orange Show. We park in front of a Subway.

We tried many gates using our VIP but they all sent us to the front of the venue.

We get inside and we run into my friend Anthony Montoya. He says he cant find my other friends and his brother, Nick and Lou Castle.
Most of us split up but Michelle,Anthony and I stay together.
We chill out for a bit by the lake. Then decide to go get a 9 dollar

Nick and Lou finally call Anthony and we try looking for them.

While looking for them Michelle has to go to the restroom and I go into the Citrus building to feel the vibe. I run into my friends Gusacci and Adrian and dance with them for a minute and go back to meet Michelle by the restroom.

We finally find Lou and Nick and we walk around for a bit.
We lost them during a refill of alcohol.

I noticed Dj Craze was coming on at 1:30am.
Michelle didnt know he was on the lineup. I did. Being one of Michelles favorite dj's she had never seen. I told her not only will you see him but we will be on stage with him. She was all for it.
We got to the Electrodome stage when "So Me" from Paris,France was performing.
He hooked me up with this Hollywood star slip mat. Seen in this picture.
So Me hooked me up with the Hollywood Star Slip Mat. Thanx
We were on stage with him for most of his set. (still looking for a pic of him with me)
However, Here is a picture of Craze w/ Michelle and I. One with Michelle.
Once again I wish we could of had our camera. Craze seemed like a cool lad.

We went walking around a bit more than went back to the car through the Artist trailers. Low and behold Michelle spots the "Craze Trailer"
Heres the pic.

We get back to the car and wait 10 min. and Emily and Leslie show up.
We were hungry so we went to the crowded Cheveron at the corner to wait for my
brother and his friends

One final note-

The Rave Act- bans all night parties in California. Now we call raves festivals too.
These parties use to go only til 12am after the "Rave Act". They are getting later and later now, to how there were. Lets not fuck it up! Party Responsible

HARD FEST Summer 2008 in Los Angeles California

We get going at 10:30 pm from the Inland Empire.

We got there quick thanks to Yahoo Maps

I had the All Access while Lou Castle had the gas and beer.

This was my first time at the Shrine.
Lou and I seen parking for $40 bucks. Damn!!!!

Since its next to USC, we went down 2 street with all the fraternatiy houses.
This reminded me of "Revenge of the Nerds"
While we were looking for free parking. We ran into the Red Bull Squad.
There was 10 of those little cars and 1 motorcycle with the chick on the side in the cart.
Look for the Video on Youtube

We finally got a parking next to some Gamma House.

We drink some Corona Brrrrs. and walked into the venue at midnight.

When we walked in Steve Aoki was jammin.
We went to the second floor where the temperature was 20 degrees hotter.
This place needs a vent at the top. It also needs some kind of furniture. It felt like an rave in the 90's in a abandoned warehouse. We had to get a drink.
2 RedBull and Grey Goose = $23 bucks.

We had to go outside. It was too hot inside.

When we got outside N.E.R.D. was about to perform.

LOU CASTLE LOUIS CASTILLO loucastle myspace socal los angeles concert love sex drugs rock roll DJ CRAZY GABE

We got to the side stage VIP.
We were looking for the Grey Goose and Patron the Website promised.
Instead they had some Vodka from Finland.

N.E.R.D kicked ass. They did a mashup with the White Stripes song "Seven nation Army"
When Nerd came off stage they went to the trailer.
Lou Castle and I moved our way towards everybody else that was flooding that way.

I seen a guy that looked like but it was actually APL.
Sorry APL. I asked him if it was Will. These 2 girls clearly said
"This is APL!"

We got a glimse of Pharrell. He said whats up to Lou but didnt come out of the trailer.
We didnt see Shay Haley but I noticed Chad Hugo.
He put his glasses on and took a picture with us. Thanks Chad

WILL.I.AM.CRAZYGABE.DJ LOU CASTLE LOUIS CASTILLO Black eyed peas socal los angeles

We finally ran into the real and we got a picture with Will.
I told him I bang his song "Get your Money" every Friday at Goodfellas Music Venue in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Thanks Will.

Since we were backstage we got onstage with Mstrkraft.

Then we went to get more drinks but it was already past 2am. So we got free RedBulls

We walked back inside to go home but we got caught up onstage with "Kill the Noise"

We were behind him and onstage dancing in front of the crowd of "Kill the Noise"
Look for the Video on Youtube

It was almost 2:50 and I told Lou I had a 3am curfew.

So we left.

Back down the 10 fwy to the area 40 miles East of Los Angeles they call
the "Inland Empire"

Electric Daisy Carnival 2008

We left for EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) with 6 of us in a 4 seat Xterra from Rancho Cucamonga, California
Michelle, Anthony, Nick, Derek, Louie, Me
Michelle drove to the Colliseum.
We kind of got lost by taking the 101,then hitting traffic, exiting on Alemeda, and going South past the 10 fwy. Right on Vernon to Normandie. Then asking for directions to the Los Angeles Colliseum.

We got there. Parked on 37th and Raymond Ave.
Drank some beers and walked in at around midnight.

We had the hook up on All Access Passes.
So we saved $600 of the $96 cover they were asking at the door.

The VIP free drink area was the spot we were in.
The ice cream reggae truck was the place I was feeling.

Inside the forum looked too crazy to try and walk through.
Michelle and I watched from the VIP Cabana area.

Good thing I was drinking Monster and Vodka.
This kept me up for my drive home

Michelle went back to the car around 330am. Before Anthony and Nick Montoya, my Brother Derek, and Louie.
We stopped at AMPM on the corner of Vermont and javascript:void(0)
Publish PostExposition BLVD.
Spicy Hot Dog~! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

We made it back to Rancho Cucamonga at 5:30 am

Thanx Pasquel.

Kohoutek Comet Festival 2008

This was a free event with free beer.
2 or 3 kegs of Sierra Nevada.
(I tipped 2-4 bucks a beer to support the cause! well, and to put in for another keg)
The students there also sell cotton candy, cupcakes, oranges, and other things.
They had a bus there that runs off of veg. oil.
KSPC was there.
They had a jumper and a sumo ring.
I wanna dj there next year.

I took my girlfriend Michelle and my little boy Emilio.
This event is great for kids. Just look at the footage:

The vibe was cool and the music was great.
When we were leaving more people were arriving.
I think arriving at 430 is early.
However we did see 2 bands.
We left at 7pm and wanted to go back at 10pm but Emilio stayed up late.
The website says it was going to be over at 2am.

I am going back next year for sure.

Coachella 2008 might ban future concerts?

What did Goldenvoice do wrong?

According to USA today

The 41-year-old actor Gary Dourdan was arrested after police found him asleep in his car in Palm Springs on April 28. He was allegedly parked on the wrong side of the street with the car's interior light on he was charged with felony possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy.

Remember in the 90's when california banned "Raves" in California.
Back in the 90's a car full of kids went over a cliff coming home from a rave, in the Los Angeles national forest. On drugs or not, this is the reason why raves were banned in California.

I remember the best event I went to was a rave called "Narnia" this was at the Snow Valley Ski Resort in Running Springs.
I go to many events annually Festivals, Concerts, Venues.
Nothing beats what the governments calls "Raves"

Are Festivals the new raves of the millinium?
It looks like it.

Festivals such as Coachella has the same artist that these raves had.
Raves were just concerts.
It seem like Festivals and Raves have the same atmosphere.
I know for a fact that concerts do. I have seen them.
They wont ban Ozzfest, Rock The Bells, Kroq Weenie Roast
Email your local government official and tell them to abolish the "RAVE ACT" now AND
Keep Coachella going, Keep Concerts going, Keep Music going!

As for Coachella 2008.

My friends went all 3 days in a RV.
I met up with them on Saturday. My friends were parked next to Yelle's RV.
Here is some footage:

We showed up around 5pm.
The traffic wasnt even as bad as last year.
It took a half hour wait in the car to get into the VIP parking.
Last year the line started over the bridge on Monroe.

The best performance: MIA
Played out Performance: Prince
Worst Peformance: None
Wanted to see: Boys Noize,Hot Chip,Mark Ronson,Uffie,Calvin Harris

I had to pay $20 to get my 40 inch helium filled balloon inside Coachella.
I found my friends instantly and they found me.
Thanx for the pics everybody.
They can be seen on my myspace page @

Good times!
Rage against the Machine, Wu Tang, Cypress Hill among alot of my favorite talented performers.

Car pooling is a must. Parking at the Hyundai Pavillion VIP is limited.

At sundown. Rage against the machine got the fire pits going! You know when its a good concert at the Hyundai when you see fire pits.
Thank Nick Montoy for letting me use your lighter to start this one!
I also burned my "I Love L.A." shirt. Alot of people took pictures of the shirt going up in flames while I was holding it above the fire. Email me a pic.
